going green...

"dear God"...

here are the completely unprompted prayers that my two oldest daughters spoke the other night...just little nuggets that i never want to forget...

ella: "dear God...please help the poor of the world, please keep my mommy, daddy, maddie, and ava safe, i love God, i love Jesus, please keep mema safe in heaven, and please make caroline's eyes better. amen."

maddie: "dear God...i love God. i love Jesus. amen."

well said girls...well said.

our royal tea party...

last sunday, ella decided to throw us a "royal tea party"! she put together an adorable little spread...complete with place cards, "tea", a floral centerpiece, and all the yogurt melts you could ever want!!!!! she and maddie dressed up for the occasion...

and take a look at this...
tell me this man wasn't custom made to have three daughters! he is so great with the girls...and they sure do love their daddy!!!! he is not intimidated one bit by all the pinkness that surrounds him...what a guy! ***i must add that he spoke in a british accent the entire time we were partying!!!!***

it was one of those experiences...where life just feels right...and you know that at that very moment...nothing else matters...at all.

except for those people in that very room.

luck o' the irish...

saturday was absolutely bee-u-tee-full...and we literally spent ALL day outside! after an unanticipated travel glitch...which caused "daddy" to arrive home in the middle of the night...we delayed our spring break plans and headed out to the st. patty's parade in broadmoor!

the big girls decided to take a spin in their mustang...while miss ava was content to be pushed by mommy! it was a really cute parade and the girls had fun catching even more beads (i think shreveport needs to get on board with the bead recycling!!!!) after the festivities, we kept cruising through the neighborhood soakin' up the rays!!!!

on the way back home, i introduced the rest of the fam to the tree that we used to climb when i was a little girl (who just longed to live on albany...ahh, how life comes full circle!!!!). ella & maddie had a blast and especially loved when jeffrey and i climbed right up in there with them! jeffrey even made it all the way to the top! i'm sure my name was carved somewhere in there...but we weren't able to find it!

we ended the day with our first crawfish of the season...dee-lish!!!! it was a wonderful day spent with the family...my kinda day really!!!! we love this time of year and look forward to what the next few months will bring!

baby face...

or rather...baby doll face! i took these pics of ava a few weeks ago...and i really think she looks like a doll!!!! if only you could meet this cutie in person...oh, she just melts my heart! her rosy cheeks are just PreCiOUs!!!!

she is the BEST baby...and we enjoy every second with her! the girls are absolutely smitten with our newest addition...sometimes a little too much...but for the most part, are very gentle and sweet!

we've been loggin' some major barbie car hours since the weather has been pretty...and i've been "eating" lots of berry soup and such!!!!!! ava hasn't quite become a huge fan of the baby bjorn...but i love the extra snuggle time...so we're gonna keep at it!

here's to hoping the weekend is filled with more barbie car, berry soup, & sweet baby faces!!!!!!

somebody's getting big...

but we're not gonna say that too loud...because her mommy doesn't want to believe it.
